What Happens If Your Medical Marijuana Certification Expires?

What Happens If Your Medical Marijuana Certification Expires?

One of the easiest mistakes to make is waiting until you’re at the dispensary to discover there is an issue with your certification or orders.

Planning ahead can save you the headache.

Your Card and Certification Are Different

Remember that your Florida MMUR identification card and physician certification are separate.

Your State issued MMUR card expires 1 year from the date you initially signed up for it. Each year you renew the State card at https://mmuregistry.flhealth.gov/spa/login/ for $77.75

Having an unexpired state card doesn’t necessarily mean your physician certification and orders don’t need to be renewed.

Free Canna Cards Initial Certifications

If you originally received your certification through our complimentary Free Canna Cards program, your initial physician certification is good for 140 days.

After you complete your first paid renewal, your next certification is for the full 210 days, or approximately 7 months.
