Why Does the Dispensary Say I Can’t Purchase More?

Why Does the Dispensary Say I Can't Purchase More?

You’re at the dispensary, you’ve found what you want, and then you’re told you don’t currently have enough available in your recommendation.

What happened?

You’re not necessarily expired.

Your Available Amount Can Change

Florida’s medical marijuana system tracks purchases and physician orders through the Medical Marijuana Use Registry.

What you’re currently able to purchase can depend on your physician’s active orders and your prior dispensing history.

This can make the numbers in your Registry confusing at first.

Running Low Doesn't Always Mean Your Certification Expired

There is an important difference between:

  • Your state MMUR ID card

  • Your physician certification

  • Your physician orders

  • The amount currently available within those orders

These are related, but they aren’t all the same thing.

Before Assuming Something Is Wrong

If a dispensary tells you there is an issue with your recommendation, ask what specifically they’re seeing.

If you’re still confused, contact us.
